Metcalfe’s law states that the value of a telecommunications network is proportional to the square of the number of connected users1. Stated simply, instead of going from 1-5 users linearly, the value of the network increases exponentially: Linear Example: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, exponential Example: 1, 4, 9, 16, 25
