European Investor Research 2017 Smart beta strategies: more bricks for portfolio building

Given the current investment challenges and the increasing short- term pressure to perform, a number of questions arise in people’s minds: how are investors using smart beta strategies? Which factors are especially important for them?
Can smart beta play a role for fixed income investing as well? And what do clients expect from their future smart beta providers?

We are delighted to provide some answers in this 4th edition of the Invesco PowerShares European smart beta research report!

Our goal? Simple: to equip you to comprehensively visualize what is happening with a rapidly developing trend in the European investment markets. So we have expanded the scope of the study significantly this year. It now includes 435 professional investors from across the continent – up from 380 in 2016 – and sees the Netherlands added to the pool of countries, joining the United Kingdom, Germany, Italy, Switzerland and France.
