Evergreen funds: always open, never liquid?

“Evergreen funds inherently involve a liquidity mismatch.” “Evergreen funds introduce subjectivity and the potential for manipulation of net asset value.” These are some compelling arguments that traditional investors in closed-end private market funds make against evergreen funds. But as with everything in this era, a nuanced view is essential, and there are both advantages and disadvantages.
