Fears of a soft patch in the global economy are fading. Although we likely have entered a phase of stabilization rather than acceleration, the overall picture remains one of broad-based support with nearly all regions contributing. Moreover, household and corporate confidence remains at healthy levels, while financial conditions have stabilized after a bit of tightening on the back of higher interest rates and equity market weakness earlier in the year.
